LUdVIGOLOGi

Ludvigologi is a 3D puzzle platformer designed to be played by two players controlling the same character. The concept is tailored for an adult and child to play together, sharing control and collaborating through playful, physical puzzles.

Players can switch between a curious boy and his clever cat, each with unique abilities affecting the environment in different ways. By combining their skills — and sharing responsibility over movement, actions and problem-solving — the game creates moments of communication, teamwork, and lighthearted chaos.

This page presents a selection of early gameplay prototypes and mechanics tests, currently in blockout phase.

Hazard prototype: A simple test to explore rhythm and urgency in movement-based gameplay.

Ability sequence: The boy uses his ball-throwing skill to activate a distant trigger, followed by the cat spinning through an obstacle. This test explores how each character’s unique ability contributes to environmental problem-solving.

The design encourages the player to switch between the two characters in quick succession, highlighting cooperative mechanics even in single-player mode.

Cooperative mechanic prototype: The boy throws the ball upward, then switches to the cat to spin-smash it into a distant target, triggering a new path.

This sequence highlights the core concept of collaborative control — where timing and coordination between characters are key, even when played by a single player or a parent-child duo.
